Publish, preview and version forms safely
Release evaluation forms without exposing unfinished edits or rewriting historic responses.
An evaluation draft is editable but cannot be assigned as a live release. Publishing creates the version respondents receive. Editing a published evaluation returns the working form to draft while existing assignments remain on their published release until you publish again. This separation protects in-progress and historic evidence from silent questionnaire changes.
Before you start
• Finish at least one valid question, resolve builder warnings and preview the complete respondent journey.
• For a revision, check active assignments and decide whether recipients should remain on the prior release or be reissued the new version.
Step by step
1. Preview as the respondent
Use Preview to test question wording, required fields, logic, answer scales and navigation. Preview does not create an assignment or response.
2. Publish the first release
Choose Publish, review validation warnings and confirm. The evaluation must contain at least one finished question before it can become assignable.
3. Understand draft editing
When you edit a published form, the editable copy returns to draft. Existing recipients continue on the prior published release; saving a draft is not a live update.
4. Publish a later version
Preview the changes and publish again. Disqovr increments the release version so new or explicitly reissued assignments can remain distinguishable from earlier responses.
5. Reissue intentionally
Use the supported assignment or RFI controls when an existing recipient must receive the new release. Resending an email alone continues to point at the current assignment release.
6. Archive or restore availability
Archive forms no longer intended for new sends while preserving history. Restore or republish through the available controls only when the form should become active again.
What happens next
• Record the reason for every post-launch release change and communicate material differences to recipients.
• Review results by form version when criteria or response options changed.
Troubleshooting
Publish is disabled
Finish or remove incomplete questions, add at least one valid question and correct any response-set, logic or weighting errors shown by the builder.
A vendor still sees the old form
The assignment remains on its published release. Publish the revision and follow the explicit reissue path when policy permits replacing that assignment.
Resend did not update question text
Resend delivers another invitation for the current assignment; it is not a versioning action.
