Manage notifications and engagement

Understand the separate controls for personal delivery and workspace badges.

Notifications and engagement are separate systems. Every member controls their own in-app, email and push delivery in Notifications. Workspace admins choose which achievement badges are active in Engagement; an admin cannot use Engagement to override a member’s delivery preferences.

In the app: /settings/notifications

Before you start

• Any member can change their own notification matrix. Workspace admin access is required for Engagement.

• Browser or device permission is also required before push notifications can arrive.

Step by step

1. Choose personal delivery

Open Settings → Notifications. For each event group, select In-app, Email and Push according to how urgently you need to receive it.

2. Save the notification matrix

Choose Save preferences and wait for the Saved confirmation. The matrix applies only to your account.

3. Enable push on the device

If Push is selected, accept the browser or installed-app notification permission. A checked box cannot bypass a blocked device permission.

4. Configure workspace badges separately

Admins can open Settings → Engagement and enable individual badge definitions or use Enable all and Disable all.

5. Review badge criteria

Check whether each badge is awarded automatically for surveys, demos or project participation, or manually from a stakeholder profile.

What happens next

• New qualifying activity is evaluated against the enabled badge definitions.

• The Notifications centre shows delivered in-app events; changing the matrix does not erase existing notifications.

Troubleshooting

Push is enabled in Disqovr but nothing arrives

Check the operating system and browser permission for this site, then confirm the device subscription is still active.

The Engagement section is missing

It is admin-only. It can also show an empty state when the platform has not provided badge definitions.

A badge was not awarded immediately

Confirm the badge is enabled and that the qualifying activity reached its completed state, not merely a draft or invitation state.
