Create your first project

Every project begins at New project. AI-enabled workspaces can turn a spoken or typed description into a draft. The manual route gives direct control through seven setup steps. Both methods create an ordinary project that you can review and refine.

Before you start

• You need permission to create projects and capacity under the workspace plan.

• Have a working project name, at least one success criterion and at least one must-have capability; the manual flow requires all three.

Step by step

1. Open New project

Select New project from Dashboard or Projects. If AI is enabled, choose Set up with AI or Set up manually. Without AI, the manual flow opens directly.

2. Use AI setup when you have a useful brief

Describe the problem, affected users, scale and desired result by typing or speaking. Answer the short follow-up questions, or select Create my project now when enough context has been captured.

3. Choose the AI evaluation approach

Before creating, choose Full evaluation, Streamlined or Demo-led. This seeds the project stages; it does not make the AI output final or prevent later changes.

4. Complete the manual seven steps

Work through Foundation, The problem, Success criteria, Process area + drivers, Must-have capabilities, Organisational context and Evaluation approach. Use Back or the numbered steps to review earlier answers.

5. Resolve required items

The project name is required in Foundation, at least one criterion in Success criteria, and at least one capability in Must-have capabilities. The final checklist links directly to anything still missing.

6. Create and review the project

Select Create project. Disqovr opens the project and may direct editors to the guided Setup page until its Define foundation is ready. Review the team, brief, criteria, capabilities, RFP inputs and incumbent before external activity.

What happens next

• Finish the guided project setup and confirm the suggested approach.

• Add project members before assigning scoring or approval work.

• Begin Discover only when the project foundation is credible.

Troubleshooting

The microphone button is not shown or voice input fails.

Voice is optional and appears only in a supported browser with microphone permission. Type the same description into the composer; if permission was denied, change the browser site permission before retrying.

Continue or Create project is disabled.

On the manual route, add a project name, one success criterion and one capability. On the AI route, send at least one description and wait for the current question or creation process to finish.

The created project opens on Setup instead of its overview.

Editors are gated to Setup until the minimum Define information is ready. Complete the highlighted setup items and select Finish setup; viewers are not asked to edit fields they cannot change.
