Configure workspace and account settings
Know which settings belong to the workspace and which belong only to you.
Workspace settings define shared defaults for everyone in the tenant. Your profile controls your own name, avatar, security and display preferences. Keeping those two scopes separate prevents a personal change from being mistaken for an organisation-wide change.
Before you start
• Workspace settings require the workspace admin role. Every signed-in member can open their own profile.
• Have the approved workspace name, industry, geography, timezone and currency ready before changing shared defaults.
Step by step
1. Open the correct settings area
Open Settings for shared workspace configuration. Open your avatar menu and choose Profile for personal details, password, theme and device preferences.
2. Update workspace identity and defaults
In Settings → Workspace, edit the name, industry, company size, geography, contact details, timezone, currency and preferred email send hour. Select fields save immediately; text fields save when you leave the field.
3. Add useful AI context
Describe stable organisation-wide buying constraints, terminology and tone in AI context. Do not add secrets, temporary project facts or unnecessary personal data.
4. Review workspace utilities
From the same page, reopen the Get Started guide, choose who may create Inbox channels and download the workspace data export.
5. Update personal preferences separately
Use Profile for your display name, avatar, password and appearance. Personal notification delivery is managed in Settings → Notifications.
What happens next
• New projects inherit relevant workspace defaults, while existing project-specific values remain authoritative.
• Brand assets and external portal presentation are maintained in Settings → Branding, not on the Workspace page.
Troubleshooting
A Workspace field is missing or read-only
Confirm that your membership role is Admin. Non-admin members only see settings sections they are allowed to use.
A text change did not save
Move focus out of the field and wait for the Saved indicator. A workspace name must contain at least two characters.
The workspace slug cannot be edited
This is expected. The slug is fixed after workspace creation; change the display name instead.
